I never planned to be in recruitment.
I am a civil engineer by education and an army kid by upbringing. Stability was not a choice, it was expected. After four years on construction sites with Tata and L&T, I did what made sense. I went to Delhi and Noida and applied for corporate jobs.
I got rejected. Every single time.
Not because I lacked knowledge, but because my communication was not sharp enough. I genuinely thought I was a good communicator. That belief broke the moment I sat across an interview panel and could not get through a single answer without fillers.
That failure led me to recruitment. Not by design, but through a door that opened at the right time. Once I was in, something clicked. I understood both sides: the company trying to hire and the person trying to get hired. I had lived both.
If you decide to learn something and work on it daily, getting just 1% better every day, you will eventually master it.
When I started Karyarth, I had no background in recruitment, no mentors, no funding and no network. I had clarity on one thing: quality over everything. As a civil engineer I learned that if quality gets compromised, the entire structure eventually collapses. That principle runs everything we do.
We do not just share CVs. We study businesses: their model, their growth stage and their real hiring challenges. Then we find the person who truly fits, not just on paper but in reality.
Six years later, Karyarth works with companies valued between $200 million and $15 billion, across consumer tech, adtech, fintech, edtech, AI, software and e-commerce. We are among the top five performing vendors for most of them, with zero funding raised. While funded competitors shut down around us, we stayed in the game, because we never chased volume. We chased outcomes.
The same belief drives the work I do with young professionals: helping them sharpen communication, crack interviews and build careers with real direction. Everything I teach, I have either lived or failed through first.
Today we are also building AI tools for the recruitment industry, solving problems I have watched this industry struggle with for years.
Still learning. Still improving. 1% better every day.
